Day 1

Carlisle, PA

Saturday, February 24

Hellloooooo G-Men fanatics! The moment you’ve all been waiting for… Tour 2024 has officially kicked off, and tour blog is BACK and going to be even CRAZIER now that I’m in charge… for all 3 of you reading this, I hope I can live up to my predecessors, Coach Guo and TJ “The Jet” Striblen. Strap in bozos…

On day one, we headed to Carlisle, Pennsylvania! In typical G-Men fashion, our departure time of 10am quickly turned into 12pm. Varun found some super rare Pokémon, Luke somehow took 2.5 hours to drive 1 hours worth of distance (on a side quest to find the renowned Princess Aleysha, sorry Zoe), and Brett and Ryan’s car listened to Thneedville (from the Lorax) on the top of every hour and sang along. Fun fact: their car is going to play that song at the top of every hour for EVERY drive we take on this tour. Good luck to their passenger Varun… might need to keep a rotation for whoever is in that car to protect group sanity.

At night, we met up with one of our esteemed alumni, Tiger Hashikura, and dined at AKI Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, a delicious Hibachi restaurant. Tiger was also gracious enough to let us spend the night at his while we engaged in ping pong tournaments and debated about Rhinos… iykyk…

Lastly, Brett and Ryan have been busy collecting and aggregating data throughout the semester, and ran a crazy statistical analysis on the G-Men. More specifically, they calculated the “Jet Tier” for each member… for those unfamiliar with G-Men lingo, I don’t really know how to explain it, all I know is that 3 years ago I was classified as an F tier and now I’m an S tier, so I guess that’s good? After their presentation on their findings at 1:30am, we all tried to get some sleep before our first big day.

One more big thank you to the alumni for supporting us on these trips, we couldn’t do it without you! As a reminder, if you would like to support us, please help donate to our album fundraiser! We’re so excited to share more of our music with you and grateful for everyone’s support!

Also shoutout to Andrew for the amazing photos and many more to come! Will see you all on day 2…
